Set the mill at any whole inch number, I usually edge by cutting one inch at a time. Notice that I started to high for any boards to be edged, dropped one inch and tried again.

Now open the clamp and turn the flitches that now have an edge. Some will need to stay and some will need to be turned. Some may be finished, so remove them. Now re-clamp and drop one inch. Cut again. Open the clamp and sort through the flitches removing any that are finished, turning the flitches that need further edging on the other edge, and leave the flitches that still need cutting on the edge that is up.

Clamp the remaining flitches. Drop an inch and cut again.
