We open the clamp all the way and turn the log by hand towards the clamp. If the log has no large knots it will easily roll all the way over so the cut face is down flat on the deck. This works fast for all logs 12" and smaller, and is faster than hydraulics.

Now close the clamp to move the log.

Turning small logs this way, 180 degrees and by hand, will speed up production and increase precise cutting and square-ness of the cant.
