In April 2000, Mark Hadley went to Iquitos, Peru, to pass on his skills with saw maintenance and sharpening to several Christian groups, and commercial sawing operations, in town, and out on the Amazon river. SLIDE SHOW 1 Is a collection of photos of the streets around Iquitos. SLIDE SHOW 2 Is a commercial Wood-Mizer operation on the bank of the Amazon river. The main product is a type of white cedar, headed for the States. SLIDE SHOW 3 Training the missionary's workers to properly sharpen and set saw blades, and the new LT15 sawmill's first operation. SLIDE SHOW 4 A visit to Santa Maria de Oriel, a village on the bank of the Amazon river, to repair the older sawmill, and demonstrate sawing with SHARP SAW-BLADES. |
